Tonia Ackerman, ARNP, is a nurse practitioner board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) who specializes in general dermatology with a special interest in skin cancer detection, acne, eczema, and psoriasis. She enjoys the rapport she develops with patients of all ages and diagnoses and treats all conditions of the skin, hair, and nails. Her formal education and training include:

- Grand View University (Des Moines, IA) – BS, Nursing
- Clarkson College (Omaha, NE) – MS, Nursing
Tonia is a member of the Iowa Nurse Practitioner Society (INPS) and the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners (SDNP), and has served on an advisory board regarding the launch of a new atopic dermatitis medication. She has also been an expert speaker for Galderma, Allergan, and Pfizer discussing acne and atopic dermatitis.
In her spare time, Tonia enjoys reading, traveling, boating, attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
